National Ground Water Awareness Week (March 11-17, 2012)

Anoka County Municipal Wellhead Protection Group celebrates National Groundwater Awareness Week (March 11-17, 2012).  Groundwater is a valuable asset to the health and vitality of our community.

We rely on groundwater to provide safe drinking water to our families.  Over 300,000 people in Anoka County get their drinking water from the groundwater wells of 259 public water systems (e.g. municipal, mobile home parks, schools, etc.) or private home wells.

Test your home well every year or contact your public water supplier for a copy of your drinking water report.

Residents and Businesses  – prevent pollution of soils and groundwater.
