Representatives from businesses licensed as very small quantity hazardous waste generators attended the March 19th Hazardous Waste workshop held by Anoka County Environmental Services. “I’m impressed with our generators that aren’t required to attend this workshop, but still do to make sure that they are handling their waste properly” said Laura Schmidt, Hazardous Waste Specialist. Only larger volume generators (small and large) must complete periodic training to continue to be licensed. Presentations included:
- Taking the high road to compliance (Laura Schmidt, Anoka Co. Environmental Services)
- Commercial Recycling (Amy Ulbricht, Anoka Co. Integrated Waste Management)
- Why Manage Stormwater (Jim Hafner, Stormwater & Wellhead Manager, City of Blaine)
- Hazardous Waste Manifests (Elizabeth Lyons, Anoka Co. Environmental Services)
