District 15 St. Francis schools receive award for waste reduction

Nearly 80% of waste generated by schools could be recycled or composted.  Almost 24% of the total waste generated is food waste.  Three District 15 St. Francis schools received Outstanding Achievement Awards from the Jeffers Foundation Waste Reduction Awareness Program: Cedar Creek Community School (Cedar); East Bethel Community School (East Bethel); and St. Francis Community School (St. Francis).
